Why we audit your site before we ever pitch you

Every engagement starts with your numbers, not our adjectives. Here's what a first audit looks at, and why it's free.

Why we audit your site before we ever pitch you

Most agencies open with a deck. We open with your site.

Before anyone talks about scope or retainers, we pull the site apart and put the numbers in front of you: how heavy the pages are, how long they take to load, whether your business shows up under one name or three across the web, and whether there's a landing page for each thing you actually sell.

What we measure

  • Page weight. Photos get uploaded at full size and never optimized — they get resized, which is not the same thing. A home page over 5 MB is common. The target is under 2 MB.
  • Load time. Someone clicks your ad, waits three seconds, and leaves. You paid for that click either way. The target is 1.5–2 seconds.
  • Brand-name consistency. "Harbor View Realty" on the site, "HarborView Real Estate Group" on a directory, "H.V. Realty" on a review platform. Search engines read that as three businesses, and none of them ranks.
  • Landing pages. If corporate events, weddings and retreats are real revenue streams, each one needs a page a campaign can point at. Usually there's one generic page for all of them.
  • Reviews. Testimonials on the site that aren't connected to Google are a trust asset doing nothing.

Why it's free

Because it's the part that proves whether we know what we're doing. If the audit doesn't tell you something you didn't know, you shouldn't hire us — and you keep the audit either way.

Send us your site and you'll have the numbers back within one business day.
